Our Founder: Corey Park
Corey Park is the founder of Academic Tech Ventures, an enterprise dedicated to identifying and structuring commercialization pathways for high-impact technologies emerging from U.S. universities and government laboratories. His work centers on evaluating new technologies and advancing select innovations into well-defined commercial strategies.
Corey’s journey into advanced technologies began with a simple question: “How can groundbreaking research be translated into successful businesses?” This question led to the formation of Academic Tech Ventures, a platform designed to support founders and management teams by bringing together operational experience, industry knowledge, and executive leadership.
Corey’s experience in building and scaling technology companies has made him a sought-after speaker, board member, and advisor. Portfolio companies he has been involved with have been featured in nationally recognized television programs, including Good Morning America, The Today Show, and The Doctors, as well as media outlets such as The New York Times, Forbes, Popular Mechanics, CNN, and Fox News.
Corey remains actively engaged in identifying and developing emerging technologies and works closely with founders as they navigate the path from research to commercialization. Under his leadership, Academic Tech Ventures continues its mission of bridging academia and industry by supporting the development of innovative technologies into sustainable businesses.
